Terms of service

Effective date: 22 June 2026

These Terms of Service govern your purchase and use of Swift Checkout for WooCommerce ("the Plugin"), sold by Avastorm Oy ("we", "us", or "Avastorm"). By purchasing or installing the Plugin you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Parties

The agreement is between you ("Customer", "you") and Avastorm Oy, a company registered in Finland (Business ID: FI), with registered address in Finland. Contact: hello@swiftcheckout.io.

2. The Plugin License

2.1 What you receive

Upon purchase you receive a time-limited license key that unlocks updates and support for Swift Checkout for WooCommerce. The Plugin itself is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 (GPL-2.0), which grants you the right to use, study, modify, and redistribute the Plugin code.

2.2 License key

Your license key is personal and tied to the number of sites specified in your plan. You may not share, sell, or sublicense your key. If you have a single-site license, you may use the Plugin on one production WordPress installation.

2.3 What the license does not restrict

Because the Plugin is GPL-licensed, you are always free to use, modify, and run the Plugin code even after a license key expires. Expiry only stops automatic update delivery and access to support — it does not deactivate or disable the Plugin.

3. Payment and Renewal

3.1 Pricing

Prices are shown on our pricing page in Euros (EUR) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT where required by law. Prices may change; existing subscriptions are not affected until their next renewal.

3.2 Subscriptions

Licenses are sold as annual subscriptions and renew automatically on the anniversary of your purchase date. You will receive a renewal reminder by email at least 14 days before the charge. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from your account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

3.3 Taxes

If you are a VAT-registered business within the EU, you may provide your VAT number at checkout. Purchases by Finnish consumers include Finnish VAT. You are responsible for any sales tax applicable in your jurisdiction.

4. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the Plugin for any reason, contact us within 14 days of your purchase date at hello@swiftcheckout.io and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.

Refunds are not available after the 14-day window, for renewals already processed, or in cases of evident misuse or fraud.

5. Updates and Support

5.1 Updates

An active license entitles you to receive Plugin updates delivered through the standard WordPress admin updater. We do not guarantee any particular update cadence, but we aim to release updates for major WooCommerce releases and WordPress core versions within a reasonable time.

5.2 Support

Support is provided via email at hello@swiftcheckout.io. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Support covers installation, configuration, and bugs in the Plugin. It does not cover third-party plugin conflicts, custom development, or hosting environments.

5.3 Compatibility

The Plugin is tested with the WooCommerce and WordPress versions listed on our features page. We do not guarantee compatibility with every theme, third-party plugin, or server configuration.

6. Acceptable Use

You may use the Plugin on websites that you own or manage. You may not:

  • Distribute your license key publicly or share it with parties outside your organisation.
  • Use the Plugin on more sites than your license allows.
  • Claim the Plugin as your own original work when distributing it (attribution under GPL is required).
  • Use the Plugin for any unlawful purpose or in violation of WooCommerce's or WordPress's own terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Plugin source code is licensed under GPL-2.0. All trademarks, logos, and brand assets of "Swift Checkout" and "Avastorm" remain the property of Avastorm Oy. The GPL license does not grant you any rights to use our trademarks.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Plugin is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the Plugin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under Finnish or EU law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avastorm's total liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these terms or the Plugin shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

In no event shall Avastorm be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or revenue, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the District Court of Helsinki as the court of first instance, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

If you are a consumer in the EU and have a complaint that we cannot resolve, you may refer it to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to the address on file and/or by a notice in the WordPress admin. Continued use of the Plugin after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may request a refund within the refund window or discontinue use.
